Storylines tend to give good corporate standing gains, but not every corp has storyline agents. When the corp doesn't have them, then courier missions can be very onerous. Generally, in such cases it is faster to do level 1 security agents to raise corporate standing than level 4 courier agents. Level 3 or level 2 courier agents can potentially be faster in such circumstances, if there's a pile of them in a station.

Standings gained with the Agent's Corporation wasn't as close going from Security to Distribution. Average .022 per mission from Security, and .011 average for Distribution. Double Corp Standing gain over time from Security
Granted this is from a sample pool of ten missions for Distribution and 15 for Security. As I continue logging the numbers will get more exacting.
What's the size and extent of the corporation? The smaller the corp and the smaller its extent, then the larger the standing gain. Social skill and (I think) standing with agent and corp also affects standing gain.

From what I've heard on Eve forums and my personal experience, there is no different in mission quality or type from effective standing with an agent. These missions are just randomly assigned. |
